Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01, has had her entire world turned upside-down. Now a former Borg drone, she finds herself trying to assimilate into a new collective: the crew of the Starship Voyager. A mission to a derelict ship will test her newfound individuality when she is confronted with an ethical crisis: to what extent should she get involved with the affairs of another species when she sees injustice running rampant?

In this episode of the Positively Trek Book Club, hosts Dan and Bruce review the IDW miniseries Voyager: Seven’s Reckoning, written by Dave Baker with art by Angel Hernandez. We discuss all four issues, our thoughts on the story and artwork, and wrap up with our final thoughts and ratings.

  1. Whoa, good episode.

I greatly prefer the way you guys are naming your episodes now as compared to your days at Literary Treks.

I've been pronouncing the name "Wang" incorrectly my entire life. I'm an idiot. To make matters worse, I've got a southern drawl so it comes out sounding like Waaaang. I'm really glad I've never been to a con now.

My favorite Janeway hairstyle? The one she wears in her Gothic holonovel story in "Cathexis."

I too love the flowery titles. I wish the B & B era Trek shows had followed TOS' example with their ep. titles. I've been watching TNG for over 30 years and I still can't remember all of the episodes from their titles alone.

I just assume that Chakotay delivered that off-panel joke while doing a dead on impression of Earth's funniest comedian, Joe Piscopo. Q doesn't call the man "Chuckles" for nothing.

I'm not a comic reader, but this story sounds very interesting. I may have to check out the...
